Alieu, as a Gambian gay man of 65yo has fought in countries across Africa, in Asia, in US and now in the UK to live a life as a free gay man. The Home Office had to press him with 230 questions during 5 hours of interrogation as Alieu continued to assert his journey for freedom. The cynical response of the Home Office was to ask Alieu to go back and hide!

Job, as a Kenyan gay man of 38yo, fought to be and love for who he is and had to flee for his life. He was put through 3 hours of questioning with over 180 questions where the Home Office as abuser- in chief found “inconsistencies”.

Alieu & Job are just two of millions of LGBT+ people across the world fighting for the right to live and love openly and proudly. They are also part of millions of immigrants fighting for freedom from political persecution and violent attacks.

In a time of unprecedented gains but also unprecedented attacks on gay and trans people in the UK and across the world, and when millions of people have been forced to leave their homes to seek asylum from war, torture, persecution, the impact of the climate crisis, and starvation, Victory for Alieu & Job in their fight for freedom will strengthen the struggles of LGBT+ people and all immigrants yearning to breathe free.
